Well, the visit to Wooing School has come and gone, and it seems everyone and their mother knows about my interviewing there. I even heard from a friend--who works at a far away school where I know no one but her--that she was informed by a colleague that he knew about my interview. Once again, the smallness of my discipline emerges!
Quick upon my arrival back in my current college town, I was confronted by colleagues who wanted to know about the trip. How was it? Did I hate it? Did they hate me?
Looking back, I felt like the campus visit went fairly well. I didn't embarrass myself, which was my main worry, and I enjoyed my conversations with the faculty and the administration.
Now it is a wait-and-see game. If I get an offer, then I have decisions to make. Right now, I basically have to go back to work.
I promise to return to the land of the blogging... as soon as I get my class prepped for this week!

Ooh, that sounds stressful to have a job search unfolding in front of so many eyes. Hope it turns out as you wish. :)
Ah, it is okay. I knew when I disclosed to a small number of colleagues that I was making a decision to let it be known. But the waiting is a drag.
Thanks for the good thoughts!
